200 miles west of Prince George, north of Tweedsmuir Provincial Park  

HOW TO GET THERE

Fly from Vancouver to Prince George, we pick you up there and bring you to the floatplane base in Burns Lake, BC. From there we fly in by floatplane (40 minutes) to our main camp on Coles Lake.

Or fly from Vancouver to Anahim Lake, we pick you up there and bring you to the floatplane base in Nimpo Lake, BC.  From there we fly by floatplane (1 hour) to our main camp on Coles Lake.

ACCOMMODATION

Cozy sleeping quarters, shower, sauna, main lodge at Coles Lakes,

rustic cabins at outposts, mountain tents.

TRANSPORTATION

Floatplane, boats, canoes, ATV's.

PACKAGE INCLUDES

Transportation including floatplane flight (50 pounds maximum of luggage per person)  from/to: Prince George  Hunting Territory, hunting guide (2:1), food & beverage, accommodation

Licenses: Hunting License 180CAD, Moose 250CAD, Mountain Goat 350CAD, Black Bear 180CAD,  Grizzly 1030CAD, Wolf 50CAD, Government Royalty fees (due only after kill): Moose 125CAD, Black Bear 75CAN, Goat 150CAN (license and royalty fees are as of March 2006; subject to change without notice), Conservation fee, alcohol    1:1 hunt 1500 CAN

3.5% non-resident government tax on all prices

Gratuities 10%

Extra flight costs for transportation of trophies, meat or excessive luggage.  This cost is usually shared amongst the hunters (approx. 200 US for 200 pounds).

GRATUITIES to guides and staff

On our hunts gratuities are not included. We prefer that our guests reward our crew based on their performance. If the crew performs to your expectations, may we suggest that a gratuity of approximately 10-15% of your hunt rate be considered normal for big game hunting.  However, ultimately the amount to tip is entirely at the discretion of the guest. Gratuities are divided up among all crewmembers.

 

 

DRIVE-IN HUNTING DATES 2008 & 2009

 

      A portion of the hunting territory can be accessed on logging roads by 4x4.  This includes taking a barge ferry across Tahtsa Reach which is exclusively used for the logging company in the area which allows no public transportation.  The deactivated blocks and large meadows make for a prime moose and bear habitat.
